Presidents Message

Greetings MPI North Florida,

There is an exciting new event scheduled for Tallahassee in February, and we are thrilled to be a part of it. The event is XSITE, Tallahassee’s first and only appointment-format tradeshow.  Conceived by industry veteran, Richard Miseyko, CMP, CMM, president of Site Search, XSITE’s format will provide for targeted face to face conversations between Tallahassee’s leading meeting planners and 100 Florida-based exhibitors to include: hotels, CVB’s, A/V and DMC organizations.

This event will be held on February, 19, 2013, at the FSU Conference Center. According to Miseyko, “Traditional tradeshow formats are no longer meeting the needs of today’s buyers and sellers.  XSITE will pre-qualify all meeting planners to ensure productive encounters.  And as an added incentive, every planner who completes their appointments will receive a $100 American Express Gift Card for participating.”

There is no cost for meeting planners to attend.  XSITE includes an afternoon of meeting and event focused educational sessions provided by the North Florida Chapter of MPI. CEU credits are available toward CMP certification.

As most of you know, we have been working for the past several years to make more MPI opportunities available to planners and suppliers in the panhandle area. This partnership with Site Search, is a giant step forward for us in providing quality education and excellent networking opportunities for our members in Tallahassee and beyond. I look forward to seeing all of you at XSITE!
